California Craft since 2014

Commonwealth began its journey in downtown Modesto, CA in 2014 with the idea of having a casual lunch and dinner spot, with an extensive offering of craft beer, in a fun atmosphere. Commonwealth quickly became popular with Modesto’s restaurant and beer lovers, landing us with a coveted spot on Food Network’s, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in 2016.

Our menu is focused on uniquely flavored sandwiches, salads, tacos and sharable plates. All of our menu items are made to order from scratch.

Modesto

Commonwealth Modesto was opened in August, 2014 and has become a cornerstone of downtown eateries and nightlife. The Modesto location is open for dine-in and take-out. This is a counter-service restaurant so when you visit, place your order at the bar and find an open table.

Friday: 11am-10pm
Saturday: 10am-10pm (BRUNCH 10am-2ish)
Sunday: 10am-8pm (BRUNCH 10am-2ish)

Turlock

Commonwealth Turlock opened October 2021 to bring our most popular items to the downtown Turlock community. Located in the historic Mercantile Building on the corner of Main & Broadway, Commonwealth Turlock is thrilled to be part of the Turlock dining and nightlife scene. The Turlock location is open for dine-in and take-out. This restaurant is also counter-service so stop in, order with the bartender and find an open table.
